On November 11, Swiss writer Meral Kureyshi, currently the Samuel Fischer Visiting Professor, will speak at the Grüner Salon about her book Im Meer waren wir nie. At its heart is a friendship that becomes family, alongside questions of responsibility and belonging. It is a story of constraint and new beginnings, of dreams and fairy tales—and of choices that shape more than a single life.
