Medusa

Six new plays from Germany, Bulgaria and Italy – selected by the transnational project MEDUSA, presented in staged readings directed by Marie Bues, Salome Dastmalchi and Tobias Herzberg, along with audience discussions.

MEDUSA – Contemporary Playwriting and Inclusive Identities in Europe is a project organised by six partner institutions from Napoli, Sofia and Berlin with the aim of not just supporting contemporary playwrights, but also strengthening a European cultural space where dramatic narratives and perspectives can be made visible across national borders and reach new audiences. The festival in Berlin is being planned and executed by the organisation Das Kombinat e. V., based in Berlin, which promotes inclusive and critical artistic practice and curated the Grüner Salon last season. For the MEDUSA project overall, Das Kombinat is working in partnership with Drama Panorama: Forum for Translation and Theatre e.V.


MEDUSA is a cooperation project among cultural organizations from Italy, Germany and Bulgaria, co-funded by European Union's primary funding programme Creative Europe.
